We're out a' here! Ike has turned to the north and looks like it's going to be a cat 4 when it hits about 30 miles south of us. It's just a little too close for comfort. We are boarding up, securing things outside, packing and moving things that we have to leave to as safe a place as we can, crying a little here (only one breakdown so far, did I mention I hate packing?) and then to top it off, Jakeb just stepped on a rusty nail. OMG!!! (gosh!) He and Tommy are securing a pile of rotted wood from our torn down shed so it doesn't projectile into our house and our neighbors houses and Jakeb stepped on a nail and it went through his tennis shoe. All of this is ridiculous!!
Anyway, here's the latest from weather underground. I went around town earlier and took pictures of some homes. I may post a few later, maybe sort of like a "before and after". It's weird to see everything boarded up and to think it may not be there after this blows through.
